Write a letter of thanks of your friend's hospitality.
Dear Mr.Zhang
First of all, I hasten to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kindness and hospitality you and your family accorded me all the while when I was in China, which made my sojourn in your country an unforgettable part of my life.
No sooner had my plane taken off amidst cheerful send-off and waving hands of you and your friends than it dashed into the dark sky.while gazing at the twinkling stars and recollecting the pleasant memories of nearly a year in China, I soon fell into sleep. When I woke up at six by my watch in the next morning, the sun was glaring down on the sea far below, and the stewardess told me that it was already noon by the Hawaiian time. So I skipped my breakfast, and soon after the luncheon the plane landed at Honolulu.
After spending a day and night in Honolulu by sightseeing, sea-bathing, watching the hula- hula dance, and putting up in a hotel, I left there by plane the next morning. This second leg of flight was rather monotonous and I arrived at Los Angeles late in the afternoon.
